Waddle and Coleman rally Denver past Jacksonville, 20–13
By Jordan Vance
Jacksonville's nine-game regular-season winning streak is over. Denver scored the last 17 points and won 20–13.
Jaylen Waddle had the game Denver traded for. A week after catching 1 of 3 targets for 2 yards, he caught 8 of 10 for 138. A 49-yard catch put Denver at the 1, and they took a 20-yard field goal. He did not score. Rookie Jonah Coleman broke a 13–13 tie with a 3-yard touchdown with 7:21 left, then ran six times for 31 yards over the last 4:41. He finished with 10 carries for 39 yards and 3 catches for 19, after three snaps and no carries in the opener. J.K. Dobbins had 10 carries for 36 before leaving with a hamstring, and R.J. Harvey did not play. Bo Nix completed 22 of 31 passes for 288 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. The score was 7 yards to Nate Adkins. The interception came in the end zone as the half ended.
Jacksonville led 13–3 early in the third quarter. Trevor Lawrence completed 17 of 29 passes for 189 yards, with no touchdown and an interception. Bhayshul Tuten's 1-yard run and two Cam Little field goals, from 44 and 23, built that lead. Little then missed from 54, wide left. Lawrence's interception late in the third led to the tying score. Denver rushed for 104 yards. Jacksonville rushed for 95. Parker Washington led the passing game with 7 catches on 12 targets for 98 yards.
Fantasy winners: Waddle's 10 targets are the role. The debut was one catch on three targets. Coleman's carries came after Dobbins left, on a day Harvey did not play. That is the usage to track, and the full line is 10 carries and 3 catches.
Fantasy questions: Tuten's touchdown was from the 1, on 13 carries for 65 yards, in line with a Week 1 day of 15 for 66. Lawrence's interception set up the tying touchdown, and Little missed from 54. The lead got away on those two plays and the last drive.
