Week 9 Waiver Wire Targets for Dynasty and Redraft Leagues

Dynasty waiver wire targets for Week 9: Denver's new lead back, a Las Vegas running back, Washington's receivers and who to skip.

By Casey Whitfield · November 3, 2026

Most of this week's best adds exist because someone ahead of them got hurt or lost snaps. That makes the role the thing to chase, not Sunday's point total.

We don't have ownership rates, so check what's available in your league. Pittsburgh and Tennessee have byes in Week 9, so skip their players for now.

Running backs

Jonah Coleman, Broncos

Denver put RJ Harvey on injured reserve, and Jonah Coleman took 19 of the 21 second-half snaps on Sunday. He ran 11 times for 41 yards and a touchdown and caught four passes for 63. Our Week 9 projection is 11.1 against Carolina. If you can add only one player on this list in a dynasty league, add Coleman.

Mike Washington Jr., Raiders

Washington carried 25 times for 83 yards and handled the goal-line work. Ashton Jeanty ran twice and caught three passes. The split held all game, which points to a plan and not an accident. Nobody has explained the change yet, so treat Washington as a Week 9 add that could grow.

Tyler Allgeier, Cardinals

Allgeier scored 33.6 after the two backs ahead of him left hurt. Jeremiyah Love is out Sunday against Seattle, which keeps Allgeier in the lead role. Our projection is 11.2, well below Sunday's number, since a 63-yard run is not a rate we project.

Kenneth Gainwell, Buccaneers

Tampa Bay ran 52 times for 310 yards between Gainwell and Bucky Irving, and won 16-0. Gainwell ran 25 times for 140 yards and took every passing-down snap. The Bucs had trade talk around him before Sunday. A game like that may make a trade less likely.

Receivers

Treylon Burks and Antonio Williams, Commanders

Terry McLaurin has been on injured reserve since Week 6, and Washington's rotation is finally settling. Burks caught a 53-yard pass and finished with 81 yards. Williams had 54. Both played a season-high number of snaps. The Rams' defense is a tough opponent this week, so wait before you start either.

Tight ends

Eli Raridon, Patriots

Add Raridon if you can spare a spot. Hunter Henry left Sunday's game with a foot injury and is questionable. Raridon played 92 percent of New England's snaps on the day and averages 1.9 yards per route.

Mike Gesicki, Bengals

Gesicki has scored in five straight games. On Sunday he caught four passes for 76 yards and a touchdown and played 68 percent of the snaps, his highest rate this year. Two Cincinnati tight ends are on injured reserve. Our Week 9 projection is 9.1 against Atlanta.

Quarterback

Gardner Minshew, Cardinals

Our Week 9 board starts Minshew at 14.7 against Seattle after Arizona benched Jacoby Brissett on Sunday. In a one-quarterback league, he's only a stash. In superflex, he's a starter.

Pass for now

Emmett Johnson scored 22.8 on 12 snaps, and one catch went 73 yards. Read why in our Week 8 overreactions.

Which of these matter beyond Week 9

For dynasty, Coleman and Raridon carry the longest shot at a lasting job, because their jobs open up through injury and not a one-game spike. Gainwell, Burks and Gesicki are Week 9 plays.

FAQ

Which running back is the best dynasty add this week?
Jonah Coleman. Harvey is on injured reserve, Coleman took 19 of the 21 second-half snaps, and the player he beat out averaged 1.9 yards a carry.
Is Tyler Allgeier worth adding if Jeremiyah Love is healthy?
Add him for Week 9 because Love is out. Past that, his role depends on Love's ankle and a teammate's concussion, so treat him as a short-term add.
Should I add Emmett Johnson after 128 receiving yards?
Not yet. He played 12 snaps, a season low, and most of his points came from one 73-yard catch.
