Colts-Commanders Week 4 Recap: Indianapolis Wins 30–13 in London

Indianapolis beat Washington 30–13. Jonathan Taylor ran for two scores, Marcus Mariota left with a knee injury, and Athan Kaliakmanis threw for 186 yards.

Indianapolis beat Washington 30–13 on a neutral field. The Colts are 2–2 after an 0–2 start, including a 33–30 overtime loss at Kansas City. Washington is 1–3.

Marcus Mariota started for Jayden Daniels, who missed a second straight game with an elbow injury and is Out again in Week 5. Mariota completed 3 of 4 passes for 46 yards. His only carry went for 35, the most rushing yards on the team, and he was sacked once. The Week 5 report lists him Doubtful with a knee MCL. Daniels is still QB1 on the chart. Athan Kaliakmanis, the seventh-round pick (223rd overall, Rutgers and Minnesota), is QB3. He finished 15 of 33 for 186 yards, a touchdown and an interception, with 3 carries for 16. Jaylon Carlies intercepted him.

Washington's points were two kicks and one catch

Treylon Burks caught Washington's only touchdown, a 47-yard score on his only reception (3 targets). Drew Stevens made both field goals, long of 31, and the extra point. Those two kicks are the other six points. Dyami Brown caught 3 of 4 targets for 65 yards. Stefon Diggs saw 9 targets and caught 5 for 35. Antonio Williams caught 3 of 8 for 21. Terry McLaurin has no Week 4 line. The report lists a hamstring, and he is Out for Week 5.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt, the RB1, ran 9 times for 15 yards and caught 2 passes for 35. Austin Ekeler added 4 carries for 29 and a catch. Washington ran 22 times for 100 yards. Take Mariota's 35 out and the other 21 carries gained 65.

Taylor carried it, and the passing game stayed small

Jonathan Taylor carried 20 times for 95 yards and two touchdowns. The first four weeks are 19, 24, 23, and 20 carries, 86 in all, and six touchdowns. He was born Jan. 19, 1999, so he is 27. Daniel Jones went 19 of 34 for 143 yards, no touchdown passes, one interception, and a rushing score on 4 carries for 2 yards. Spencer Shrader made all 3 field goals, long of 52, and all 3 extra points. He is 11 for 11 on field goals this season.

Laquon Treadwell caught 5 of 6 targets for 42 yards. Tyler Warren caught all 5 of his for 41. Ashton Dulin caught 3 of 6 for 29. Josh Downs, the WR1, caught 3 of 4 for 16. Seth McGowan, RB2, ran 6 times for 31 yards. Indianapolis allowed 526 scrimmage yards to Baltimore in Week 1 and 534 to Kansas City in Week 2. Washington managed 332 and 13 points.

Lineup calls for Week 5

Taylor's carry counts are the story. Jones has not had to throw for much. Kaliakmanis is not the starter. He is QB3 behind an Out Daniels and a Doubtful Mariota. Diggs had the target volume with McLaurin out. Check the report Friday before you trust anyone in that quarterback room.
