Week 4 Matchups: Who's Set Up to Win
Three weeks of tape point at Baltimore's offense and San Francisco's defense as the two strongest forces on the Week 4 board.

Three weeks is enough evidence to stop treating every read as a coin flip. A few teams have shown who they are, and Week 4 sends them straight at the opponent that matters most.
Favorable: Baltimore's offense against Tennessee
Tennessee is 0-3, the only winless team left, on a three-game skid. Baltimore is 2-1 and hosting. Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson against the league's worst record is as close to a green light as this slate offers.
Favorable: Houston's passing game against Dallas
C.J. Stroud has thrown 27 or fewer passes in every game this season, and we've flagged that low volume as the actual cap on his value, not his receivers. Dallas gave up 37 points to Washington and hasn't shown a defense that forces anyone to punt. If Houston's line holds up, this is the week Stroud's attempts climb.
Unfavorable: Denver's offense against San Francisco
San Francisco has been the best defense in the league through three weeks, full stop. It held the Rams to 7 in Week 1 and hasn't let up since. Denver draws that defense on the road. Temper expectations across the whole Denver skill group.
Unfavorable: Dallas' passing game against Houston
The same Cowboys-Texans game cuts both ways. Houston's defense, built by a coaching staff that wants low-scoring games, has been the tougher unit of the two all year. Dak Prescott draws a genuine defensive test here, even in a game where his own team's defense should make life easy for Stroud on the other side.
Unfavorable: Miami's passing game against Minnesota
Minnesota's defense held Chicago to 3 points back in Week 2, and Miami is already down De'Von Achane for the season with a torn ACL. A thin Miami offense against a defense that's already shut a team down completely is not the spot to chase points.
The marquee game: Detroit at Carolina
Not a lopsided call, just a game to watch closely. Jahmyr Gibbs and Detroit's offense have been the best in the league all year. Carolina has quietly won two straight since that ugly Week 1 loss. Sunday Night Football gets tested on both sides.
