By Derek Sallis · October 22, 2026

Quick answer: Kyler Gordon has the top projection of Week 7 at 15.2 IDP points, and he ranks 545th on our dynasty board. His projection rests on one game, a 30.5-point day with three sacks and two forced fumbles. The season scoring leaders and the dynasty price leaders are two different lists.

Buffalo, Jacksonville, the Chargers and Washington are on bye. Points below use NextDyne's IDP scoring: 1.5 for a solo tackle, 0.75 for an assist, 2 for a tackle for loss, 4 for a sack, 5 for an interception, 4 for a forced fumble or a recovery. The full board is on the IDP dynasty rankings.

Gordon is Chicago's first nickel back, and his three sacks came against Atlanta on Sunday. A projection built on one game is a guess, and the model says so with a range of 8.6 to 20.9 points. Reese, at 21, is the safer pick at the top of the list. He leads the Giants' linebackers and has 87.8 points through six games.

Among linemen, Jeffery Simmons projects highest at 9.8 against Cleveland, followed by Boye Mafe, Will Anderson Jr., George Karlaftis and Maxx Crosby. Anderson has 7.5 sacks in six games and scored only 0.8 last week. His 9.1 projection is a normal week, not a rebound.

Who leads the season

Jones leads all IDP players with 95.0 points through Week 6, and he is sixth on our dynasty board. After him come Nakobe Dean (94.3), Williams (91.0), Anderson (91.0) and Reese.

The board does not follow the points. Dean ranks 77th on the board and Williams 129th, even though both sit in the top three for scoring. Williams, a 25-year-old safety, has two interceptions and 51 tackles, and he is the Packers' first-team strong safety.

The price leaders are Jordyn Brooks, Crosby and Brian Branch. Brooks has 46.5 points in five games. Crosby has 35.8 points and two sacks in six games. Myles Garrett and Branch have no 2026 points and are out this week, so their rankings come from earlier seasons.

Injuries to watch

Four defenders were questionable and did not practice Wednesday. Carson Schwesinger (ankle) is Cleveland's first-team middle linebacker with 75.0 points and a projection of 11.2. Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) and Budda Baker (groin) project at 11.5 and 10.3. Jevon Holland (concussion) projects at 6.5. All four carry a haircut in the model because Thursday's kickoff is inside the four-day window.

Nick Bosa (calf) and Jalen Ramsey (wrist) are also questionable. Ramsey scored 28.8 on Sunday with two sacks and four tackles for loss. Antoine Winfield Jr. is doubtful against Carolina, so his projection is zero.

In our model, an IDP player does not inherit a hurt teammate's tackles, so a backup's line stays near his own baseline.

Young linebackers on the move

Several linebackers new to the first team have good numbers and low prices. Josiah Trotter, 21, is Tampa Bay's first-team inside linebacker and has 81.8 points in five games. Our dynasty page ranks him 823rd, which looks low next to that. Anthony Hill Jr. leads Tennessee's linebackers with 64.3 points.

Kendal Daniels leads Atlanta's linebackers with 48.3 points, but he was stretchered off Sunday with a neck injury. He is not on the Week 7 injury report, so check Sunday's report before you pay for him. Jaden Dugger starts for San Francisco and is questionable with a knee injury. Teddye Buchanan moved the other way and is now second on Baltimore's depth chart.

On bye

Greg Rousseau (85.8 points, sixth among IDP scorers), Sonny Styles, Foye Oluokun, Terrel Bernard and Tuli Tuipulotu have no Week 7 line.

FAQ

Why does Kyler Gordon project first in Week 7 but rank 545th in dynasty value?
His projection rests on one game, a 30.5-point day against Atlanta. His dynasty value rests on his age, history and role, and none of those have changed much.
How does IDP scoring work on NextDyne?
A solo tackle is 1.5 points and an assist is 0.75. A tackle for loss is 2 and a sack is 4. An interception is 5, a forced fumble or fumble recovery is 4, and a defensive touchdown is 6.
Should I add Josiah Trotter in a dynasty IDP league?
Yes, if he is free and you have a roster spot. He has 81.8 points in five games as the starter, and his dynasty price has not caught up.
