Jacob Rodriguez has scored 72.5 IDP points this season and ranks 309th on our dynasty board, while Arvell Reese has 76.3 as a 21-year-old and ranks 54th. This week's column sorts production against price and then shows which scores moved since last Thursday, using the numbers on our IDP rankings today, with points as season totals through Week 5.

The cheapest production on the board

Jacob Rodriguez, a 23-year-old Miami linebacker, has 72.5 points and a score of 1,334. Greg Rousseau of Buffalo has 82.0 points, behind only Will Anderson Jr., and sits 202nd at 2,056. Evan Williams, a 25-year-old Green Bay defensive back, has 76.3 points and ranks 129th at 2,837.

The young linebackers cost more but still look cheap for what they've done. David Bailey of the Jets is 23, has 76.5 points and ranks 114th at 3,155. Reese of the Giants is at 3,920.

The leaders

Will Anderson Jr. of Houston leads everyone with 90.3 points and sits eighth at 5,309. Nakobe Dean of Las Vegas has 81.0 points at 3,579, 77th overall. Ernest Jones of Seattle has 78.5 and is sixth at 5,494, so his price already matches his output.

What moved since last Thursday

Fred Warner fell from 5,184 to 3,782 while scoring 74.5 points, which makes him the clearest buy-low on the board. Trey Hendrickson dropped from 3,565 to 922 with 12 points and a finger injury. Myles Garrett went from 6,939 to 5,382 and is now listed as a linebacker.

Micah Parsons went the other way, from 3,730 to 4,679, even though ESPN lists him out with an ACL injury and the board shows no points for him this season. Brian Burns moved from 4,832 to 4,660 with six points and an ACL injury of his own. The board hasn't marked either one down for the injury.

FAQ

Why would a score drop while a player produces?
The board blends production with age, position and role, so a position change or a shift in projected workload can outweigh a good month. Warner's 74.5 points haven't stopped his number from falling.
Should I buy a young linebacker who has already produced?
Usually, if the price is low and the role is clear. Rodriguez, Bailey and Reese are all 23 or younger, which is young enough to hold their value if the role stays.
Is there a full IDP ranking I can sort?
Yes. The IDP dynasty rankings list defensive linemen, linebackers and defensive backs by value, with each player's season points.
