Steelers-Bengals Week 3 Recap: Boswell Wins a 30–27 Shootout
Joe Burrow and Aaron Rodgers each threw three touchdowns, but Chris Boswell's 33-yard field goal with 2:18 left gave Pittsburgh a 30–27 win over Cincinnati.

Joe Burrow completed his first 14 passes and finished with 282 yards and three touchdowns. It wasn't enough. Aaron Rodgers matched him almost throw for throw, and Chris Boswell's 33-yard field goal with 2:18 left gave Pittsburgh a 30–27 win.
Rodgers cuts it loose — Warren carries the ground game
Rodgers threw for 292 yards and three touchdowns, including a 47-yard catch-and-run to Darnell Washington that set up the winning kick. He's bouncing back from a rough loss to New England the week before, and coach Mike McCarthy said he'd told Rodgers before the game it was time to "cut it loose." Jaylen Warren ran for 127 yards on 17 carries and added three catches, the best game of his season. Roman Wilson and DK Metcalf each caught touchdowns, and a roughing-the-punter penalty extended the drive that produced Metcalf's score.
Chase, Higgins, and Gesicki keep Cincinnati in it
Ja'Marr Chase caught 9 of 12 targets for 98 yards and a touchdown, and Tee Higgins boxed out a defender for a 28-yard touchdown right before halftime that tied the game at 17. Burrow improved to 163 career touchdown passes through his first 80 starts, the fourth-most in NFL history behind only Mahomes, Marino and Rodgers himself. Mike Gesicki caught a fourth-down touchdown that briefly put Cincinnati ahead in the fourth quarter.
Special teams and a late fumble flip the finish
The Bengals had one more shot. Burrow drove into Pittsburgh territory late, but a sack forced a fumble that Pittsburgh recovered near midfield. A muffed punt by Cincinnati's Ke'Shawn Williams had already set up one of Pittsburgh's field goals in the fourth quarter, which tied the game before Boswell's winner.
Lineup calls for Week 4
Chase and Higgins both delivered top-15 weeks in what was Cincinnati's best offensive showing of the season, even in a loss. Warren's 127 yards on the ground make him a must-start as long as Pittsburgh keeps feeding him this kind of volume.
